The main reason for the aggravation of the wear of the idler shaft and the burning of the sleeve of the sliding bearing is that the lubrication state between the idler shaft and the sleeve of the sliding bearing has deteriorated, and the boundary lubrication has gradually changed into a partial dry friction state. If you do not pay attention to daily maintenance, it is inevitable that such problems will occur. So what should we do?
All parts that can rotate or slide must be lubricated. Poor lubrication will cause increased friction on the transmission surface and cause heat. When the temperature reaches a certain critical point, it will lead to surface deformation, cracking, melting, and then burning.
Once the bearing sleeve is burnt and damaged, it needs to be replaced. How to remove and install the idler?

First, remove a single valve at the place of the grease nozzle, put out all the butter inside, and then use the bucket to push the idler wheel inward hard to make the track as loose as possible.
If the excavator is below 150, the track pin needs to be removed; If it is more than 150, you can directly hook the track down with the bucket. Remember, the single valve must be removed, or the track will not be easy to remove, let alone install!
